I miss the summer. I miss feeling hot.

As you know from my other post (CLICK HERE) I let my diet go a little bit during the winter time. Let me tell you, it sucks. I miss feeling hot! I refuse to maintain my crazy diet and workout schedule during winter. Going to the gym 6 days a week, eating about 1800 kcal a day, that shit is crazy. And that is for a guy who’s over 1.90m (+- 6.3″) and weights about 93kg (205 pounds).

At this point I weigh about 213 pounds, and it sucks. It’s not that I’m fat, I’m just not ripped anymore, and it really takes a big bite out of my confidence. Even when I’m with my GF (who knows how I look in summer) I’m not comfortable taking my shirt off. It really messes up my sex life, big time.

Going to the gym 6 days a week for a whole year is not an option too. Let alone the price of quality food. I would be living on the street it I did that. In summer my food costs me about $20 a day in meat, veggies, fruit and shakes. In winter I eat for about $4 a day. I’ll eat a lot of tosti’s, rice, cookies, popcorn and other cheap shit.

I tried working next to my study, but that didn’t work either. I went to college from 09:00 til 15:00, then work from 16:00 till 20:00, and after that I could work out. Too bad that didn’t work out. After I got home I laid myself in the couch and wouldn’t stand up for at least 4 hours. So now I had money to buy expensive and healthy food, but I was to tired to work out. I’m getting really frustrated over here!

I refuse to go running, because I don’t want to become a skinny bitch. I need to go to the gym. I guess my only option is counting down to fall, so I can get my training ritual going, and spend all my money on high quality food. Can’t wait to have my summer body back!

  1. I know you feel frustrated, I’m pretty sure you still look great. Just hang in there! Don’t let your confidence take a dip, honestly. The girls still turn their heads when you pass, wink wink.

    • I don’t know.. Maybe with a shirt on haha. But it’s just messing with my head, it’s so annoying! Even in summer putting my shirt off isn’t my favorite thing to do, because I’m never 100% satisfied, but this is 10 times worse 😦

      • I don’t think anybody is ever 100% satisfied. I’m never satisfied with my body, when I was skinny I wasn’t happy, now I’m curvy and I’m still not happy. I’m on all time diet or “lifestyle” thing. Think if you feel annoyed now, why not try doing some floor exercises just to make u feel better?

      • Well, it’s because I believe that diet is 80% of your training. If your diet is shit a few ground excercises aren’t gonna cut it. It just sucks that healthy food is so expensive. I just need to get my ass to the gym, and find a way to eat healthy on a budget. Food with protein is just so expensive. Maybe i should eat more eggs, instead of meat, that would be cheaper!

  2. Yes, try more eggs. Lots of protein in there. They expect the world to eat healthy but health food is so expensive. I do not understand it?!

    • Me neither! Haha don’t worry about your grammar, i didn’t notice anything being wrong. My grammar sucks too, but I don’t really care about it haha. I think its weird too. If i buy 1 piece of salmon, Its the same price as 5 bags of chips , 5 chocolate bars or like 20 tosti’s. It’s insane.

      • Haha, let’s start it together! Don’t forget to throw out the yolk. We only need protein, we don’t need our cholesterol to get through the roof! Normally I take 3 eggs, and only use the yolk from 1 egg, so my balance is 3x eggwhites, 1x yolk 🙂 And then just eat that 3 times a day for a nice 75 grams of extra protein! So sad I need like 225 grams per day to keep in shape 😦

  4. If you are ripped, or not, it shouldn’t matter. Sex is sex, it makes you sweat, it makes me moan, it shouldn’t change how you feel about yourself. You seem to be fairly attractive, and despite your cheating tendency you seem like a good person (contradicting, I know) but in all fairness, that wouldn’t stop me from sleeping with you.

    • Thanks Bri, nice to know there still is somebody out there willing to sleep with me 😉 I know sex is just sex, but I can’t enjoy it 100% when I keep thinking I don’t look ‘good enough’. If my GF looks at me during sex, the only thing that goes to my mind is that I look fat compared to 3 months ago. Damn I sound like a girl haha.

      • Omg you do sound like one of my girlfriends! I have girlfriends who won’t take their bra off during sex because they hate their breasts or their shirt because they hate their stomach! I never knew a guy could be so body conscious too, during sex at least. I thought once you got there you all felt like a superhero in a superheroes body…
        I tend to like sex better when I’m feeling hot too. This is usually in the summer bc I care more about how I look bc I am in a bikini every single day. With sex, you already know the other person wants you and at least you can obtain a flattering position. In a bikini, everything is in view for everyone. And spring break is looming! Train, train, train!

  5. What you’re talking about is not health but appearance. It sounds like you are a perfectionist about your appearance and when you fail to live up to your (very high) standards, your self-image takes a hit. You’re driving yourself crazy. This also connects with narcissism.

      • I get the impression that you like sex a lot, and yet your perfectionism is getting in the way of that. (Or is sex not really about sex, but rather about boosting self-image too? That would go some way to explaining the cheating.) No amount of protein is going to deal with the underlying issue, which I suspect is low self-esteem.
